Thada and Oneness Temple

On 27th, November 2009 at 12 pm...Johnny, driver and I set off to go to Thada...a place 80 km away from Chennai...along the Chennai-Kolkatta Highway. Hot afternoon, long journey...we did get stuck in the traffic at Koyembedu...the driver drove very rashly on the highway but at 2:30 pm we were there...where??? At the Oneness Temple - the temple built by the infamous Kalki Bhagwan and Amma...to meet the dazzling Shilpa Shetty and her whole family (including Raj Kundra, Shamitha Shetty and Shilpa's parents.)
It was a very vast temple with four entrances...each representing a wish in life - courage, prosperity and desire are the ones i can remember...the monks are called Devadasa...but can go back to the reel world if they feel they cant live the of renouncement. The second floor has a circle in the centre and its considered to be with immense postive energy and thus we all sat there for 10 minutes..
There is now a tug of war...to meet Shilpa or the Kalki Bhagwan...but in the end the Bhagwan of course won...So the visit or darshan was good...met the holyman whom nearly 38% of AP believes in. Spent a good 30 minutes with him...resulted in Johnny getting angry with me cos I was not there when Shilpa came out from her temple visit. The holyman spoke a lot of things - blaming the media for his now tarnished image which actually made him change his name from Kalki Bhagwan to just Bhagwan. He is not happy with Sun TV and is a member of the club of Buddhapast (highly influential people.)
SO finally...we rushed out and I did a sim sat with the Gorgeous Shilpa...fumbled with the question but I felt confident while asking the questions which means I have improved somewhere atleast...
We made it for the 8'o clock bulletin and evelyn whitsled when she saw my tic-tac. felt appreaciated.
Then we went for an all reporters dinner...it was an unofficial send off to Veeru...will miss that guy... it was an official bitching session and it was fun...as time passed we got louder and dirtier...but it was fun altogether...
A great day...but I missed Harish's Birthday...which was the dent...a sad thing...can't find time for friends...life is like that...
